Fox News Slaps Trump with Brutal Reality Check After His Wild Election Claims
Fox News threw President Donald Trump under the bus after his recent address, where he made explosive claims about U.S. election vulnerabilities. The network quickly clarified that it had not seen the evidence he referenced.
In a 25-minute speech, Trump announced the release of declassified documents, asserting they revealed serious flaws in the election system. He alleged that electronic voting machines were easily compromised.
Just moments after his remarks, Fox News issued a sharp disclaimer. An anchor stated, "We also heard the president make claims that electronic voting machines are vulnerable and easily compromised." The network emphasized, "Fox News has not seen that evidence yet and is not in a position to evaluate the accuracy of the president’s statements and claims at this time."

This disclaimer was particularly striking since Fox had just aired Trump's speech under a banner proclaiming, "Trump delivers address on election integrity."
During his speech, Trump alleged that China attempted to access American voter rolls and reiterated concerns about electronic voting machines. However, he failed to provide any proof for his ongoing assertion that the 2020 presidential election was stolen. No evidence was presented to show that ballots were altered or vote totals manipulated.
Trump issued sweeping orders to the FBI, the director of national intelligence, and other federal agencies, demanding investigations into why crucial information was concealed from him and calling for prosecutions over what he labeled a cover-up.
Fox's decision to issue a disclaimer triggered a flurry of reactions on X, with users referencing the network's expensive legal battles over its 2020 election coverage.

One user remarked, "They’re literally holding the receipts..." while another quipped, "They have PTSD from that settlement huh." A third user pointed out, "He said almost 6 years ago that he had evidence & has yet to present it."
Another comment read, "Fox over here learning lessons from that multimillion-dollar fine." One user directly confronted Trump, asking, "Is the evidence with you now, Mr. Trump?"
Numerous posts alluded to Fox’s $787.5 million settlement with Dominion Voting Systems in 2023, where Dominion accused the network of broadcasting false claims that its voting machines rigged the 2020 election against Trump.
Fox News has not seen that evidence yet and is not in a position to evaluate the accuracy of the president’s statements and claims at this time.
