Fox News Viewers Ready to Boycott After Jesse Watters' Disturbing Jewish Comments

Jun 26 2026

Jesse Watters, during a recent episode of Fox's The Five, sparked outrage by labeling Israel as "the Jews," igniting a firestorm of backlash.

Just a day after similar remarks, Watters returned to the show and again used the term "Israeli Jews," drawing immediate criticism.

Democratic commentator Jessica Tarlov stepped in, correcting Watters and emphasizing that Israel should not be conflated with "the Jews."

Tarlov pressed him, asking, "What did we learn last night, Jesse?" This correction echoed the sentiments of viewers at home, many of whom expressed their anger and threatened to stop watching the network.

One viewer on X stated, "Watters also said 'we know Israel has an itchy trigger finger' regarding Hezbollah. I turned it off immediately. Done with Fox."

Watters faced further backlash after making a "disgusting" suggestion during a live broadcast, leaving Fox audiences furious.

Another viewer commented on his remarks about Jews, stating, "I don't think Watters is a Nazi, but he's not the brightest bulb in the lamp. He is also undereducated, like so many talking heads on cable news these days. 'The Jewish Question' connotes Wansee and the Final Solution. I'm sure Watters doesn't know that. Someone should tell him."

A third viewer questioned the implications of Watters' phrasing, asking, "Jesse Watters just said 'the Jewish Question' on Fox about the Iran/Israel deal. What does that phrase actually mean historically? Dogwhistle or dumb phrasing? Raw facts."

Another commenter added, "Midwit Watters also ignores that plenty of non-Jewish Israelis support what Netanyahu is doing to Hezbollah in Lebanon. It's not just 'the Jews' or 'Israeli Jews.'

One more viewer remarked, "Using the word Jews to address the nation of Israel is pure anti-Semitism in covert. It is an attempt to minimize the security worries of a whole country's intents."

Another user suggested that Watters might be stepping into Tucker Carlson's shoes at Fox News.

During a June 22 broadcast, Watters stated, "The Jewish question is gonna be a situation with this deal because the population of Israel, they want Netanyahu to go hard in Lebanon...and the Iranians know that."

Tarlov interjected, saying, "I don't know about...what kind of coat rack Jesse just pulled out of his bag, but you're not supposed to say Jews instead of Israel. They're separate things. Just say Israel."

Watters retorted, "Are you speech policing me?" while laughing at Tarlov's correction.

Tarlov shot back, "I'm just giving you some Jew advice," leading to laughter from both her and Greg Gutfield, who made a reference to a Senate candidate from Maine with a Nazi tattoo.

The incident followed JD Vance's significant national security gaffe, after sharp-eyed viewers noticed a telling detail lurking in a photograph.
