Trump Loses It, Threatens Reporter Over 'Rubber' Incident at Reflecting Pool
Donald Trump unleashed a bizarre tirade against an ABC reporter, claiming he witnessed "vandalism" at the Reflecting Pool beneath the Lincoln Memorial. The President accused Jonathan Karl of "sticking his hand into the Pool, and trying to rip the rubber off of the surface."
This outburst came after Karl's report highlighted the Reflecting Pool's contamination with debris and green algae, revealing that a multi-million dollar paint job was deteriorating.

Following Trump's online rant, Jeanine Pirro, United States Attorney for the District of Columbia, appeared on Fox News discussing the incident with Peter Doocy. She stated, "President Trump’s got a Crime Stoppers tip for you," referencing Trump's claims about Karl.
Pirro warned that anyone attempting to vandalize the Reflecting Pool would face legal repercussions. "There are several citations that have been handed out to individuals, and these are cases that will be prosecuted to the full extent," she asserted.
She emphasized that if more serious substances were introduced into the pool, leading to greater issues, authorities would consider escalating charges. "Make no mistake, making DC beautiful is a priority," she declared, reinforcing the seriousness of the situation.

However, viewers reacted with skepticism and anger towards Pirro's comments. Many took to X to voice their frustrations. One user remarked, "Get serious! Any trial will fail after finding conclusively the hydrogen peroxide put in by the Trump maintenance team to control algae caused the paint to peel. Trump and Co screwed up!"
Another chimed in with sarcasm: "You’ll pay a big price if you take any pieces of the reflecting pool as souvenirs. If you want to avoid prosecution, just storm the Capitol or go to Epstein Island."
A third user added, "They’re going to prosecute more people for touching the peeling paint at the Reflecting Pool than they’ve prosecuted from the Epstein file."
