Unhinged Trump Threatens Lawsuit for 'Treason' Over Iran War Critique
Donald Trump has unleashed a furious tirade, branding a newspaper report as "treasonous" after it criticized his military actions in Iran as a catastrophic failure.
The US president erupted on social media, targeting The New York Times with a barrage of insults, calling them "corrupt and unethical cowards" and "criminals." He announced plans to amplify his ongoing "multi-billion dollar lawsuit" against the publication, citing their "false and ridiculous reporting."
His explosive reaction stemmed from an article by Neil MacFarquhar, which bore the scathing headline: "What Changed After Almost Four Months of War? Analysts Say Not Much."

The Times reported that after nearly 100 days of intense conflict, Washington and Tehran had only managed to reach a vague memorandum of understanding to cease hostilities. Skeptics questioned what had truly changed.
The article further infuriated Trump by asserting that Iran's nuclear program remained intact, directly contradicting his claims of its destruction, and highlighted that the peace agreement overlooked Tehran's ballistic missile capabilities.
It emphasized that "Iran's authoritarian regime endured, albeit with new leaders," and that its proxies continued to pose a threat in the region.
Trump's online meltdown escalated as he declared: "REALLY? Their Military is DONE, their Navy is GONE, their Air Force is GONE, their Launching Pads, Missiles, Drones and Manufacturing of same, is almost GONE."

He quickly followed up with a legal threat, stating: "I will be adding all of their false and ridiculous reporting to my multi Billion Dollar lawsuit against them. They are Criminals!"
Hours later, still seething, Trump shared a post from ally Sen. Lindsey Graham and reiterated: "The Failing New York Times is CORRUPT!"
The Times article included critical analysis from experts like MIT professor Caitlin Talmadge, who argued that the peace deal was a result of American overreach rather than strength.

Talmadge remarked: "I think it’s a document that has resulted from the fact that the United States bit off more than it could chew and doesn’t want to escalate," questioning what had been achieved compared to the original Iran nuclear deal.
Adding insult to injury, Iranian parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf mocked the US, claiming the war showcased Iran's ability to disrupt global gas supplies through the Strait of Hormuz.
Ghalibaf stated: "Our enemies - God created them fools - turned that potential into reality." Despite the truce, Trump has continued to issue aggressive warnings to Tehran.
He recently cautioned Iran on Fox News against obstructing the vital shipping route, declaring: "You close it and you won’t have a country." He added menacingly: "We may take over the Strait, if we have to. I’ll blow the s*** out of them."
