Trump's Future in Doubt: MS NOW Guest Claims America Won't Survive to 500

Jun 23 2026

On MS NOW, a guest brutally declared that the United States isn't "making it to 500," directly targeting Donald Trump and his administration.

The nation gears up for its 250th anniversary on July 4, featuring a 16-day National Mall State Fair, historic fireworks, a Times Square ball drop, and massive synchronized block parties. This milestone is organized under Trump's Freedom 250 initiative.

However, the Great American State Fair, running from June 25 to July 10, has seen numerous performers drop out due to the controversy surrounding Trump's involvement.

Akilah Hughes, a podcast host, joined Jacob Soboroff on his show and predicted that America won't exist in a quarter of a century if it continues "on the same trajectory." This stark warning adds to the mounting challenges Trump faces.

Hughes stated, "I don’t think America is making it to 500, if we’re on the same trajectory. You know, 250 was a stretch." Soboroff reacted with disbelief, prompting Hughes to elaborate on her concerns.

She criticized the current administration's efforts to "forget about history," claiming there is a systematic destruction of public education and public works, alongside a push for privatization.

"If we know one thing about corporations, you know, in the long term, they are not giving back to the people," Hughes asserted, emphasizing her point about corporate interests over public welfare.

Hughes described the United States as a "very young democracy," questioning why Americans believe they are immune to the fate of other nations that have risen and fallen throughout history.

She expressed concern for young Americans, stating they have "no hope for the future." This sentiment was echoed during a recent gathering where guests pondered what a three-year-old child would do in the future, with bleak predictions centered around working in data centers.

In another embarrassing moment for Trump, he stumbled over his words during a Fox News broadcast. While discussing Starlink and its impact on Elon Musk, he mistakenly referred to Musk as "Leon" before quickly correcting himself. This slip has been labeled "Trump's biggest mental slip yet."

The 80-year-old president continued without acknowledging his blunder, further fueling concerns about his cognitive state.
