Fox News Viewers Vow to Shun Trump’s Newly Renamed Airport

Donald Trump’s promotional video for the newly renamed airport has triggered a wave of backlash, with viewers of Fox News vowing to avoid the facility at all costs.

The video, filmed at Donald J. Trump International Airport, previously known as Palm Beach International Airport for nearly 50 years, features Miami-based correspondent Danamarie McNicholl. Trump, at 80 years old, becomes the first commander-in-chief to have an airport named after him.

Eric Trump, the president's son, made an appearance in the clip, boasting about arriving at the airport aboard the “Trump Force One” aircraft. Critics are already labeling this as another vanity project from Trump, who has also proposed an “Arc de Trump” monument.

The video’s caption proclaimed, “Donald J. Trump International Airport is now a reality,” emphasizing the airport's rebranding and Trump's ties to the region.

“And, fittingly, the first arrival at the newly renamed airport was a Trump,” it continued, highlighting Eric Trump's arrival on the family plane.

Social media erupted with viewers denouncing the rebranding, predicting it would join the ranks of Trump’s failed ventures. One user declared, “Not that I go to Florida, but I make a pledge to never use that airport.”

Another commenter stated, “Never going to fly there! You just lost yourself a traveler! Pleasure not doing business with you!”

A third individual added, “Donald gets his name on an airport; I hope people choose other sites to fly in and out of. Let this one fail.”

Despite the uproar, one supporter defended the move, claiming, “Renaming an airport is a bold move that can redefine local identity. With ‘Donald J. Trump International,’ the area might see increased tourism and economic activity.”

On the same day, Lara Trump, Eric's wife, shared a video celebrating the first arrival at the newly named airport.

Lara posted cockpit audio from the inaugural flight’s landing. She recorded footage from the cockpit during the approach, declaring it “official.”

The pilot of Air Force One announced, “Aircraft effective immediately, Palm Beach International Airport is officially President Donald J. Trump International Airport.”

Another voice in the cockpit chimed in, “Here we go. It’s official.”

Lara captioned her video with, “It’s official! PBI > DJT.”

Before the flight, Eric Trump appeared on Fox and Friends, stating, “There’s no way in hell I was letting UPS be the first plane to land, so we got on Trump Force One... we touched down at exactly 5:01 a.m. this morning, and it was a beautiful day.”

“I don’t think there’s anybody more synonymous with Palm Beach than Donald Trump,” he added.
