French Modelling Scout Linked to Epstein Found Dead at Paris home

Jul 22 2026

A 69-year-old French modelling scout, Daniel Siad, linked to the notorious US financier Jeffrey Epstein, has been found dead at his residence outside Paris, according to prosecutors. Siad faced serious allegations of facilitating Epstein's trafficking and abuse of women. He had not yet been interrogated by authorities but had publicly denied the charges, expressing a desire to present his side of the story.

The Nanterre prosecutor's office announced that an investigation into the cause of death commenced following the discovery on Monday evening. An autopsy is set to be conducted as part of this inquiry. Siad was under scrutiny for multiple complaints, including rape allegations, and was being investigated by a specialized office focused on human trafficking.

His name surfaced in over 1,000 documents released from the declassified Epstein files. In a 2014 correspondence with Epstein, Siad compared his recruitment efforts to fishing, stating, "In this busyness I feel like fisherman some time I cache quick, some time no fish." He claimed that Epstein had exploited his trust.

In 2020, French authorities arrested modelling agent Jean-Luc Brunel for allegedly procuring women for Epstein. Brunel was found dead in prison in 2022. Epstein himself died in prison in 2019 while awaiting trial for sex trafficking.
