Heidi Montag Rallies Behind Spencer Pratt After Devastating LA Mayoral Defeat

Jun 15 2026

Spencer Pratt's bid for Los Angeles mayor ended in failure, and Heidi Montag is not holding back her feelings. “I couldn’t love my husband more and be more proud of him. What an inspiration, what a hero,” she tweeted.

In a follow-up tweet, Montag declared, “God bless America.” She expressed gratitude for being born in the United States, calling it a “beautiful free country.”

These statements came just days after Pratt was eliminated from the race, finishing behind LA City Council member Nithya Raman and incumbent Mayor Karen Bass.

Last Friday, Pratt conceded defeat in a video posted on X, stating he would not be the next mayor. He slammed the political landscape, saying, “Angelenos are now stuck with two morons responsible for all their problems, and they have to choose between dumb and dumber.”

Pratt accused the system of protecting itself, claiming, “That’s not a choice, that’s the machine protecting the machine.”

He warned viewers that they had “no idea” how dire the situation in LA was about to become. “The city is a mess, and you’re about to reward the arsonists who torched the place with four more years of destruction,” he asserted.

Pratt’s political ambitions ignited after he lost his home in the catastrophic 2025 Palisades fires. He launched his campaign in January, focusing on crime reduction, tackling homelessness, and criticizing city leadership’s response to wildfires.

The upcoming election day on November 3 will determine whether Raman or Bass will take the mayoral seat.
