Hotel Horror: Antisemitic Rant by Employee Targets Israeli Couple in California
“Are you a baby killer?” That’s the jaw-dropping question hurled at an Israeli couple by a hotel employee in California, caught on video and spreading like wildfire across social media.
This disgraceful incident unfolded Thursday at Oceanpoint Ranch in Cambria, California, confirmed by a hotel spokesperson. The couple, enjoying their vacation, found themselves in the crosshairs of a hostile worker who couldn’t keep his political views to himself.

As they exited the lobby, the employee reportedly shouted “Free Palestine,” prompting the female guest—who holds dual citizenship—to confront him. The video, which has gone viral, captures the aftermath but not the initial exchange.
“All I said was free Palestine,” the employee insists in the clip, oblivious to the chaos he’s ignited. The woman fires back, demanding he show some professionalism and shame for his behavior.

Then the harassment escalates. The employee bombards them with inflammatory questions: “Are you a Zionist? Are you a baby killer? Did you serve in the IDF?” The male guest remains silent, communicating only in Hebrew with his partner while the worker continues his tirade.
“As for the satanic little p—sy sitting in the corner of shame, he had no words when being called what he really is… just a dirty Zionist,” reads a caption accompanying the video, further inflaming tensions.
General Manager Angel Gonzalez acknowledged the incident, stating, “The conduct depicted in the video does not reflect the standards of professionalism, respect, and hospitality we strive to uphold.” An internal review is underway, and the hotel has reached out to the guests to address their concerns.

In a swift response, the employee has resigned. “Our hotel is committed to ensuring all guests feel welcomed, respected, and safe,” Gonzalez added, emphasizing their dedication to maintaining a positive environment.
The worker has been identified as 24-year-old Ryan Smith, who allegedly serves in the military. He took to Instagram claiming he was fired for “speaking up on the genocide and ethnic cleansing ongoing within the Middle East,” labeling himself a “Free Palestine activist.”

The video has racked up over 400,000 views on Instagram alone and has drawn widespread condemnation from various figures, including Israeli writer Hen Mazzig and Leo Torrell, chair of the Department of Justice’s antisemitism taskforce.
Torrell expressed outrage on social media: “If true, this is outrageous. Termination is not good enough! This hotel needs to be investigated. I’m not satisfied with a single termination.”
The fallout from this incident raises serious questions about workplace conduct and the boundaries of personal beliefs in public service roles. As this story continues to unfold, it serves as a stark reminder of the pervasive antisemitism that still exists today.
