Influencer Found Dead in Luxury Hotel After Cosmetic Surgery: Shocking Details Emerge

Hilde Lynn Helphenstein, known as Jerry Gogosian, was found lifeless in a luxury hotel room after undergoing plastic surgery. The shocking discovery was made by her plastic surgeon, who had been trying to reach her by phone.

When the 40-year-old artist failed to respond, the surgeon visited her five-star hotel. Hotel staff entered the room and found her unresponsive in bed, surrounded by an empty vodka bottle, a shattered glass on the floor, and unidentified pills.

Originally from Oakland, California, Hilde was discovered dead at the opulent Rosewood São Paulo hotel in Brazil on May 31. She had been recuperating from cosmetic surgery for approximately three weeks.

The surgeon had previously taken her to an emergency care unit due to a potential overdose, indicating a troubling history of substance use. Authorities have classified the case as a 'suspicious death' at the 78th District Police Station in Jardins.

Hilde amassed over 150,000 followers on social media by satirizing the art world's excesses and commercialization. She graduated from the San Francisco Art Institute and built a reputation for her incisive commentary.

In addition to her social media presence, she hosted the podcast Art Smack and served as editor-in-chief of The Jerry Report. Her collaborations included major names like Sotheby’s, Phillips, and Playboy.

In her final social media posts, she shared cheerful updates about her experiences in Brazil, offering light-hearted advice and expressing excitement about her stay.

The art world has reacted with an outpouring of tributes, recognizing her impactful commentary and contributions. The official cause of death remains unannounced.

“Rosewood São Paulo confirms that the guest Hilde Ann Lynn was found dead on the afternoon of Sunday, May 31,” stated the hotel. “Since the observation of what happened, the hotel has provided full collaboration with the competent authorities, promptly providing all the information requested to assist in the investigation of the facts.”
