Kid Rock's New Track Sparks Outrage: "Just Go Away!"

May 15 2026

Kid Rock is back in the spotlight, but not for the reasons he hoped. The 55-year-old rock rebel, born Robert James Ritchie, dropped a new track that has his fanbase buzzing—though not in a good way.

On May 13, Kid Rock took to Instagram, strumming his guitar and belting out a stripped-down version of his song "Til You Can't." The backdrop? A wooden wall with a massive crucifix cutout, light streaming through like some divine intervention. In another shot, he donned jeans, a green jacket, and a cream cowboy hat, striking poses that screamed "look at me" while gazing intensely into the camera.

“This song—and now video—means more to me than most will ever know,” he wrote, attempting to tug at heartstrings. “Apologies in advance if anyone feels left out—just know I love you all and dearly miss all of you who are no longer with us. God Is Good.”

But the backlash was swift. Fans flooded the comments with scathing remarks. One user blasted, “Washed up!!!!! Trying way too hard,” while another quipped, “Sounds like herpes. Perfect for MAGA.” Ouch! A third chimed in with a history lesson on Kid Rock’s past arrests, questioning his Christian values: “You are about as Christian as Satan,” followed by a laughing emoji.

His new rendition of "Til You Can't" is described as an emotional ballad with a new verse that Kid claims came to him in the dead of night, steeped in themes of faith and reflection. But fans aren’t buying it. “Yikes...bring the old Kid Rock back. Whatever this is needs to go away,” one user lamented. Another simply stated, “Peace of s--t song just like you.”

This latest controversy follows Kid Rock's recent antics supporting Donald Trump, including hosting an alternative halftime show at the Super Bowl and participating in a bizarre promotional campaign with Robert F. Kennedy Jr., where they worked out topless and guzzled whole milk. Talk about divisive!

As the dust settles on this latest release, one thing is clear: Kid Rock’s attempt to reclaim his rock star status is hitting some serious turbulence. Will he heed the call to "go away," or will he double down on his controversial persona? Only time will tell.
