Newsom Unleashes on 'Dementia Don' and Kash Patel's Boozy Reputation
California Governor Gavin Newsom didn’t hold back, unleashing a scathing cartoon that paints Donald Trump as “Dementia Don,” caught snoozing at his Oval Office desk.
On Thursday, Newsom’s press office took to X, delivering a brutal blow to the former president and his inner circle. “DEMENTIA DON !!!!” they proclaimed, accompanied by a cartoon that’s as biting as it is hilarious.

The illustration shows Trump in pajamas, slumped over in his chair, supposedly signing an executive order while dozing off. To the left, Secretary of State Marco Rubio clutches a tube of pills, while on the right, White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy Stephen Miller stands with crossed arms, looking unimpressed.
But the real kicker? FBI Director Kash Patel sprawled across Trump’s desk, eyes shut tight, gripping a bottle of booze. This jab comes hot on the heels of allegations about Patel’s “bouts of excessive drinking,” which he has vehemently denied.
Amidst the chaos, the desk is cluttered with “Epstein files,” a hamburger, fries, and a Diet Coke—because why not mix fast food with political scandal? Newsom has emerged as one of Trump’s fiercest critics during his second term.

The cartoon didn’t just stop at the punchline; it encapsulated Newsom’s disdain for the Trump administration. Earlier this month, he slammed it as “the greatest grift we’ve ever seen in our lifetime” during an appearance on Real Time with Bill Maher.
“Every day is a corruption story with the Trump administration. Let’s get serious,” Newsom declared. “It’s the greatest grift we’ve ever seen in our lifetime, and that also needs to be called out. We can’t allow any of this to be normalized.”

He didn’t shy away from specifics either, detailing how Trump and his family have been cashing in since retaking office. “He’s got eight or nine countries he’s done major golf course or development deals,” Newsom pointed out.
Next up on Newsom’s hit list? The Trump family’s cryptocurrency ventures, which The New York Times claims are raking in the most cash during this second term. “It’s meme coins and stable coins. It’s crypto, it’s World Liberty Financial,” he told Maher.
Newsom also took aim at Trump’s so-called Board of Peace, along with his chief diplomatic envoys to the Middle East and Russia: son-in-law Jared Kushner and fellow New York real estate mogul Witkoff. “This Peace Board is about getting a piece for Witkoff and for Kushner,” he said. “You see Donald Trump Jr. in the drone companies, in the mineral companies.”
