Steve Hilton Demands Chad Bianco Exit California Governor Race to Avoid GOP Catastrophe
Steve Hilton, a Republican candidate for governor, is urgently demanding Chad Bianco drop out of the race, claiming that a fractured GOP could lead to a Democratic sweep in California’s general election.
With the primary looming, Hilton insists the contest has devolved into a three-way battle for two spots on the November ballot.
“It’s a very, very tight race,” Hilton declared in a social media post. “There’s basically three people competing for two spots in the general election.”

The former Fox News host painted a grim scenario for conservatives if the party fails to rally behind one candidate.
“We could have Tom Steyer and Xavier Becerra in the general election,” he warned. “That is a disaster for California.”
Hilton intensified the pressure on Bianco, asserting that Republican infighting could lead to what he termed an electoral “Doomsday Scenario.”

“ONE MAN can stop the Doomsday Scenario!” he proclaimed.
“Chad, the best time to drop out was two weeks ago. The second best is now…”
Hilton further argued that essential Republican priorities, such as voter ID measures, could be at risk if Democrats dominate the governor’s race.

He cautioned that GOP candidates across California’s ballot would face dire consequences unless Bianco withdraws.
“Unless we unite we’ll get an all-Dem general election: Becerra vs Steyer. No change for California, disaster for every Republican running this year, Voter ID…”
The plea follows a recent poll from California Post showing an unexpectedly close race at the top.

The survey, conducted from May 26-28, revealed Democrat Tom Steyer and Hilton tied for first place at 25% each.
Xavier Becerra, previously seen as a frontrunner, lagged behind in third with 19%.
Bianco trailed in fourth with 10%, while Katie Porter and Matt Mahan garnered 7% and 6%, respectively.
The poll indicated a margin of error of 3.5 percentage points and a 95% confidence level.
