Trump Hints at Upcoming Release of 'Fascinating' UFO Documents

“Very interesting documents” regarding UFOs are set to be unveiled by the Department of Defense, President Donald Trump declared Friday during a Turning Point USA event in Phoenix.

Trump stated, “As you remember, I recently directed the Secretary of War to begin releasing government files relating to UFOs and unexplained aerial phenomena.” His comments come amid growing public interest in unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs).

“This process is well underway, and we found many very interesting documents, I must say, and the first releases will begin very, very soon,” he added, hinting at a significant disclosure.

On Capitol Hill, lawmakers have been vocal about the need for transparency regarding UAP files. While Trump has not explicitly claimed that these phenomena are extraterrestrial in origin, the conversation around them continues to gain momentum.

A spokesperson for the Defense Department confirmed that its All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) is collaborating closely with the White House and other federal agencies to streamline the release of UAP records. “AARO has made progress to make UAP information available and transfer those records to the National Archives in accordance with federal law,” the spokesperson stated.

In February, Trump instructed Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and other officials to review government files concerning “alien and extraterrestrial life.” This directive followed former President Barack Obama’s remarks on a podcast suggesting the possibility of extraterrestrial life, which Obama later clarified did not imply he had seen evidence during his presidency.

Lawmakers like Rep. Anna Paulina Luna from Florida have been particularly insistent on the release of UAP-related materials. She recently demanded that the Pentagon disclose 46 videos from its investigations by April 14. Following the missed deadline, Luna indicated she might resort to subpoena authority if the videos remain unreleased.

“The continued lack of transparency surrounding these anomalies and the potential national security threat they pose is troubling,” Luna expressed in her March letter. She emphasized that UAPs near sensitive military airspaces could jeopardize national security and military readiness.

In response to Trump’s remarks, Luna shared a clip on social media with a winking emoji, while Rep. Tim Burchett from Tennessee thanked Trump for his commitment to transparency regarding UFOs.

The Pentagon reported in November 2024 that it had received hundreds of UAP reports following a hearing, with 21 cases deemed worthy of further analysis due to their “anomalous characteristics and/or behaviors.” However, officials noted that no evidence was found to support claims of extraterrestrial life in any of these reports.

Moreover, a Pentagon report released in March 2024 concluded that there was no credible evidence suggesting a cover-up regarding UFO findings that indicated extraterrestrial life. The report stated that “most sightings were the result of misidentification of ordinary objects and phenomena.”
