Trump Rips Into Bruce Springsteen, Claims Singer 'Looks Like Hell' Amid Political Feud

Jul 25 2026

Donald Trump, at 80 years old, unleashed a vicious tirade against Bruce Springsteen, mocking the rock icon's looks and political commentary during a White House Correspondents' Dinner.

Trump ridiculed Springsteen's recent tour, claiming it was more about politics than music. He launched into a series of insults, stating, "What about Bruce Springsteen? What the hell happens to that guy? He looks like hell." He added, "At a recent concert, Bruce, all he did was talk politics. He ought to run for office. He made four political speeches on his three-hour show. The tour has been renamed: Bored in the USA."

The backlash on social media was immediate. One user shot back, "Bruce Springsteen looks hell damn better than you do, Trump." Another questioned the quality of Trump's material, asking, "WTF wrote his material?"

This feud isn't new. Springsteen has been vocal about his disdain for Trump, asserting that the president does not diminish his patriotism. In a PBS special titled Bruce Springsteen: Finding America in Song, he emphasized the importance of confronting the nation's failures as part of true patriotism. "I believe in critical patriotism," he stated.

Springsteen elaborated, "You love your country so much that you are willing to look at it clearly, recognize its faults, encourage it to be a better place." His music has long intertwined with political themes, and his criticism of Trump has intensified since the president's return to the White House.

During his Land of Hope and Dreams tour, Springsteen didn't hold back. At the opening show in late March, he called out Trump and Attorney General Pam Bondi from the stage. He accused Bondi of using her position to shield Trump and target his adversaries.

"She prosecutes our president’s perceived enemies, covers up for his misdeeds and protects his powerful friends," Springsteen declared. He then directed his ire at Trump, saying, "You want to talk about snowflakes? We have a president who can’t handle the truth."

In typical fashion, Trump retaliated on Truth Social, urging fans to boycott Springsteen's music and concerts. He described Springsteen as a "bad, and very boring singer" who "looks like a dried-up prune" and accused him of suffering from "Trump Derangement Syndrome," or TDS.

The ongoing clash between these two figures highlights the deep political divides in America today.

“Bad, and very boring singer, Bruce Springsteen, who looks like a dried-up prune who has suffered greatly from the work of a really bad plastic surgeon.”
