Trump's AI Jesus Post Sparks Outrage Among Supporters
In a surprising backlash, President Donald Trump's AI-generated image portraying him as Jesus Christ has left many of his supporters fuming. During an interview with a local news outlet in Bradenton, Florida, several voters expressed their discontent with the controversial post.
“It’s appalling. It’s disgusting. You’re mocking my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,” Vinnie Richards stated emphatically. He urged Trump to prioritize his presidential duties over social media antics, suggesting that the president should “put his phone down and focus on running the country.”
Richards further criticized Trump’s defense of the image, which he claimed was meant to depict the president as a “doctor.” He countered, “Bro, that’s not a doctor. That’s him depicting himself as Jesus Christ. That is blasphemy in its purest form.”
Other supporters echoed similar sentiments, voicing their disappointment over the post, which Trump ultimately deleted after facing significant backlash. John North, another Trump supporter, lamented, “That’s a disgrace. I’m very upset about that. I mean, how egotistical can you possibly be? I’m ashamed that he would actually do that. The man I voted for and trust.”
The outrage extended beyond casual supporters, as prominent conservative figures also condemned the now-deleted post. Some went so far as to label Trump the “Antichrist” and “demonic,” reflecting a deep divide within his base regarding the appropriateness of such imagery.
This incident raises questions about the intersection of politics and personal beliefs, particularly among those who have historically supported Trump. As reactions continue to unfold, it remains to be seen how this controversy will impact his standing among his core supporters.
