Trump's Disturbing Rant to Kids at White House: From Transgender Claims to Iranian Violence

In a bizarre display of rhetoric, Donald Trump unleashed a torrent of inappropriate remarks aimed at a group of schoolchildren during a White House event on Tuesday.

Gathered in the Oval Office, the 79-year-old former president signed a proclamation to revive the Presidential Fitness Test Award. But instead of focusing on fitness, he veered into dark territory, discussing violence and terror in Iran, alongside his controversial views on what he termed "transgender mutilization of children." The kids, likely expecting a lighthearted event, were instead subjected to a political diatribe that included unfounded claims about the 2020 election being "rigged."

As if that wasn’t enough, Trump later took to the White House lawn, where he gathered a larger crowd of student athletes to showcase his infamous YMCA dance. Amidst the awkwardness, he continued to spew politically charged statements about transgender athletes, even engaging in a peculiar conversation with a young boy aspiring to be a weightlifter.

After asking the kids about their sports interests, he turned to one boy who mentioned football but expressed interest in powerlifting. "You’ll never compete against women in powerlifting," Trump declared, launching into a frequently repeated but misleading story about a trans weightlifter breaking a record that had supposedly "stood for 18 years." This reference was aimed at Canadian powerlifter Anne Andres, who set records at the Canadian Powerlifting Union’s 2023 Western Canadian Championship.

Trump inaccurately claimed that Andres beat the record by 119 lbs, despite the fact that the records had not been held for nearly two decades and the margin was far less than he suggested. He also questioned the boy’s fighting skills, asking, "Do you think you can take me in a fight?"

Following speeches from various officials, including RFK Jr. and Education Secretary Linda McMahon, Trump faced reporters’ questions. His comments about Iran were particularly alarming. "We can’t let Iran have a nuclear weapon," he warned the children. "You might be too young for this. But you can’t let a bunch of lunatics have a nuclear weapon." He then bizarrely pivoted to discussing stock market records.

When asked about arming Iranians to overthrow their regime, Trump painted a grim picture: "You can have 200,000 people protesting and have five or six sick people with guns... very few people would be able to stand there and do it." He recounted horrific tales of violence against protesters, claiming that 42,000 unarmed individuals were killed last month alone.

Gesturing dramatically, he described how a woman fell dead from a bullet wound, pointing to his forehead as he spoke. At one point, he made an odd sound with his tongue while discussing missile defense systems on U.S. aircraft carriers, saying, "They say 'missile coming, missile coming,'" before sighing dramatically and pretending to type on his desk.

Trump also reiterated his debunked claims of election fraud, insisting he had won the election in a landslide. "I thought I’d easily win the election, which, by the way, I did," he claimed. The children surrounding him appeared increasingly disengaged, yawning and fidgeting as he rambled on.
