Smith pointed out that Trump is now “limping back” to an agreement similar to what Obama had previously negotiated. He remarked, “We have put ourselves in a weaker position,” attributing part of this to what he termed “Trump Derangement Syndrome,” suggesting that Trump’s opposition to Obama’s policies led to disastrous outcomes.
