Trump's Mother's Day Snub: White House Celebrates Melania and Usha While He Stays Silent
The White House X account lit up with a heartfelt tribute to First Lady Melania Trump and Second Lady Usha Vance on Mother’s Day, but guess who was missing in action? That’s right—President Trump.
On May 10, the official White House account posted, “Today, we celebrate the mothers whose unwavering love, sacrifice, & strength help mold the heart & soul of our nation. To the millions of moms across America—and to First Lady Melania Trump & Second Lady Usha Vance—thank you.” Emojis punctuated the message, but the President was nowhere to be found.
Instead of honoring the women in his life, Trump was busy sharing clips from Fox News on his Truth Social account. Not a single mention of Melania or Usha. The silence was deafening, especially after he appeared to doze off during a recent TV appearance.

His Truth Social feed was filled with reposts from the Fox News show Life, Liberty and Levin, where host Mark Levin and guests praised Trump’s handling of the Iran conflict. Meanwhile, he linked to a Newsmax article featuring Israel’s Foreign Minister Gideon Saar praising his strategy against Iran’s nuclear ambitions.
Vice President JD Vance also failed to acknowledge the women of the West Wing on X. His last post was a campaign shoutout for U.S. House Representative Zach Nunn (R-IA) on May 7. Talk about priorities!
One X user responded to the White House’s post, “Moms are the true backbone of this nation. Appreciate this acknowledgment from the White House. God bless every mother today.”

While Trump didn’t post anything for Mother’s Day itself, he did manage to deliver a pre-weekend address that took a jab at Democrats instead of celebrating mothers. “Happy Mother’s Day weekend to all, especially to the 115 THOUSAND AMERICANS who found jobs in April alone!” he boasted.
He shifted the focus from mothers to economic stats, claiming, “As usual, over 90 percent of Bloomberg Economists (nearly all of whom have a ‘Terminal’ case of TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME!) underestimated the strength of the Trump Economy.”
Trump continued his tirade against Jerome "Too Late and Won't Leave" Powell and the “America Hating Democrat Party,” declaring, “More Americans are working today than ever before. Happy Mother’s Day and know that we are MAKING AMERICA WEALTHY AND SAFE AGAIN!”
In a rare moment of public affection, the President and First Lady recently shared a glimpse of their relationship, but it seems that on this day dedicated to mothers, Trump chose to prioritize his political agenda over personal connections.
