President Donald Trump unleashed a barrage of insults Thursday aimed at prominent conservative media figures who have publicly criticized his approach to the ongoing conflict in Iran. Labeling some of his former allies as “low IQ,” “losers,” and “nut jobs,” Trump made it clear that dissent within his ranks would not be tolerated.
Among those in his crosshairs were Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, Candace Owens, and Alex Jones, all of whom have distanced themselves from Trump’s stance on the war. “They’re losers, just trying to latch on to MAGA,” he declared on Truth Social, before launching into a series of personal attacks.
“They’re stupid people, they know it, their families know it, and everyone else knows it, too!” Trump asserted, further stating that Carlson “should see a good psychiatrist,” while labeling Owens as “crazy.” He dismissed Jones as someone who “says some of the dumbest things” and criticized Kelly for her “nasty” inquiries regarding his past comments about comedian Rosie O'Donnell.
In response, Owens took to X to share a screenshot of Trump’s post, quipping, “It may be time to put Grandpa up in a home.” Meanwhile, Jones expressed on his show that Trump’s anger stemmed from being wrong about the situation. “He’s mad that he got set up by Israel,” he claimed, adding, “Once a man, twice a child. This is dementia.”
Requests for comments from representatives of Carlson and Kelly went unanswered. Recently, Carlson, a former Fox News host, urged U.S. military aides to reject plans that would harm Iranian civilians. Owens, previously the communications director for Turning Point USA, labeled the Trump administration as “satanic” and called for Congress to “have the Mad King Trump removed.”
Kelly voiced her frustrations on her podcast this week, stating she was “sick of this s---,” emphasizing that one cannot simply threaten to annihilate an entire civilization. On his show, Jones suggested invoking the 25th Amendment to remove Trump from office.

The escalating tensions among these figures highlight a significant rift within Trump’s base regarding the Iran war, especially given his previous campaign promise of “no new wars.” In his post, Trump asserted that his former supporters in conservative media are “not ‘MAGA.’”
“MAGA is about WINNING and STRENGTH in not allowing Iran to have Nuclear Weapons,” he stated emphatically. “MAGA is about MAKING AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, and these people have no idea how to do that.”
