Trump Tells Critics to Chill as Iran War Talks Heat Up: ‘It Will All Work Out Well’

Jun 02 2026

President Trump unleashed a tirade against Democrats and “unpatriotic” Republicans, telling them to “sit back and relax, it will all work out well in the end.”

“Iran really wants to make a deal, and it will be a good one for the U.S.A. and those that are with us,” Trump declared on Truth Social, launching a fierce attack on his detractors.

He complained, “But don’t the Dumocrats, and variously seemingly unpatriotic Republicans, understand that it is MUCH tougher for me to properly do my job and negotiate when political hacks keep negatively ‘chirping’ at levels never seen before?”

Trump’s remarks followed U.S. Central Command's defensive strikes on Iranian radar and command sites in Goruk and Qeshm Island.

“The measured and deliberate strikes occurred on Saturday and Sunday in response to aggressive Iranian actions that included the shootdown of a U.S. MQ-1 drone operating over international waters,” CENTCOM reported.

U.S. fighter aircraft swiftly eliminated Iranian air defenses, a ground control station, and two one-way attack drones threatening regional shipping.

No American service members were harmed. CENTCOM vowed to protect U.S. assets and interests against unwarranted Iranian aggression during the ongoing ceasefire.

Kuwait reported its air defenses fired early Monday to intercept incoming drone and missile threats.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed U.S. forces targeted a telecommunications tower, responding with an attack without specifying the location, likely referencing the incident in Kuwait.

This escalation comes amid ongoing negotiations between the two nations, particularly regarding Iran’s stockpile of highly enriched uranium.

Last week, Trump mocked GOP critics as reports surfaced about potentially lifting the blockade of Iranian ports if Tehran disposed of its highly enriched uranium.

“I laugh at all of the Dumocrats, RINOS, and Fools who know nothing about the potential deal I am making with Iran,” he said.

Trump specifically targeted Senators Thom Tillis and Bill Cassidy, along with “major sleazebag” Rep. Thomas Massie.

Cassidy faced backlash after voting to convict Trump for incitement of insurrection following the January 6 Capitol riot, losing his bid for a third term last month. Massie was defeated by Trump’s chosen challenger, Ed Gallrein.

“These people should go home and rest, they do nothing but create division and loss. In other words, they are losers!” Trump blasted.

“The deal with Iran will either be a great and meaningful one, or there will be no deal.”
