Trump Threatens Iran: 'Behave or We’ll Bomb You Again'

Jun 17 2026

Donald Trump issued a chilling ultimatum to Iran, threatening to revert to "dropping bombs on their head" if they fail to comply with a peace agreement. This statement came just days before a tentative deal is set to be signed.

During a press conference alongside Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi at the G7 summit, Trump was asked about the status of the agreement with Iran. He bluntly stated that the deal is "not final," and if Iran does not behave, the U.S. would "go right back to dropping bombs right smack in the middle of their head."

He elaborated, “It’s a Memorandum of Understanding. And if I don’t like it, we’ll go back to shooting at them, dropping bombs on their head.”

Trump reiterated his stance, emphasizing that if Iran does not comply, the U.S. will resume military action. He also claimed there is a "99.99% chance" that Iran will never acquire a nuclear weapon.

The impending peace deal includes provisions for Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz immediately after signing. The formal signing ceremony is scheduled for June 19 in Switzerland.

This accord stipulates that the U.S. would provide at least $300 billion to rebuild Iran post-war. Additionally, it promises to lift all American and United Nations sanctions on Tehran if a final agreement regarding Iran’s nuclear program is achieved.

These concessions are significant, surpassing the terms of the 2015 nuclear deal that Trump previously labeled as the “worst deal ever” before unilaterally withdrawing from it during his first term.

Despite reports suggesting otherwise, Trump denied any financial commitments, stating, “We’re not putting up 10 cents. We are not investing and we do not have a fund.”
