New revelations have surfaced about the circumstances surrounding Tiger Woods' rollover car crash in Florida.
On March 27, during a press briefing, the Martin County Sheriff’s Office disclosed that they received reports of a rollover incident shortly before 2 p.m. in Jupiter Island.
Authorities arrived to find a pickup truck towing a pressure cleaner trailer alongside a Land Rover, which had overturned on its driver’s side.
“The driver of the pickup noticed a dark-colored Land Rover speeding past him,” Sheriff John Budensiek stated, withholding specific speed details. “He attempted to move to the side of the road, but this is a narrow two-lane road with no shoulder. As he maneuvered, the Land Rover swerved to avoid a collision but clipped the trailer's rear.”
Images from the scene depicted the Land Rover on its side, a stark reminder of the crash's severity.
Woods, 50, was identified as the driver and managed to exit the vehicle without injuries. However, police suspected impairment and called in DUI investigators.
“Mr. Woods exhibited signs of impairment,” police reported during the briefing. “He underwent several tests and mentioned his past injuries and surgeries, which we considered.” (Woods had surgery in October 2025 to address a collapsed lumbar disc.)
Authorities confirmed that Woods completed a breathalyzer test with “triple zeros,” but he declined to provide a urine sample when requested.

As a result, Woods faces charges for DUI, property damage, and refusal to submit to a lawful test. His representative has been contacted for further comments.
Just days prior to the incident, Woods participated in a golf competition in Los Angeles, marking his return after more than a year away from the sport at Jupiter Links Golf Club.
In conversations with reporters, Woods acknowledged ongoing recovery from previous health issues.
“This body doesn’t recover like it did when I was 24 or 25. That doesn’t mean I’m not trying,” Woods remarked via the Golf Channel after his match on March 24. “I’ve faced several significant injuries over the years that I’ve had to overcome, and it takes time. But I keep pushing forward.”
Woods has navigated numerous challenges both on and off the golf course. Yet, his passion for golf remains unwavering.
“I played various sports growing up, but my love for golf has always been there. I thrive on competition,” he shared with reporters in April 2024. “I enjoy putting in the work, preparing, and competing. The thrill of being in contention is unmatched, whether you win or lose.”
