White House Blasts Author as a 'Lying Sack of S--t' Over Melania Trump Claims
Michael Wolff faces a brutal backlash from the White House after he claimed Melania Trump’s marriage is crumbling. The author of "Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House" alleges that the first couple sleeps in separate rooms, with Donald Trump locking his door.

Wolff, 56, asserts that Melania "barely speaks" to her husband, igniting a fierce response from White House spokesman Steven Cheung. He labeled Wolff a "lying sack of s--t" and a "fraud," accusing him of fabricating stories from his "sick and warped imagination." Cheung slammed Wolff's claims as a product of "Trump Derangement Syndrome," suggesting it has rotted his brain.
In a post on his Substack, Wolff wrote that everyone in the White House fears Melania Trump and her potential power. He speculated that her relationship with the president is at its lowest point since the Stormy Daniels trial, which was a significant scandal for Trump.

During that trial, Trump faced 34 felony counts for falsifying business records in May 2024. Prosecutors accused him of orchestrating a scheme to enhance his chances in the 2016 election through hush money payments and falsified records to cover up alleged misconduct.

Stormy Daniels, an adult film star, received hush money related to an alleged sexual encounter with Trump. Wolff's claims about Melania's marriage add fuel to ongoing rumors of tension between the couple.
Wolff further stated that there is hardly any pretense of Melania living in the White House, as the Trump family maintains a base at Trump Tower in New York. Recent public appearances have raised eyebrows, with Melania notably absent during Trump's trip to China in May, where he was accompanied by daughter-in-law Lara Trump.

However, she did appear with him at the World Cup final on July 19. During the event, President Trump faced criticism for his behavior, seemingly intruding on Spain's celebration after their victory over Argentina.
Spain clinched their second World Cup title in extra time, with Trump joining FIFA boss Gianni Infantino to present medals. As Spain prepared to lift the trophy, Spanish captain Rodri appeared to nudge Trump aside to allow his team to celebrate properly.
