In a spine-chilling twist, President Donald Trump (James Austin Johnson) found himself face-to-face with the ghost of Jeffrey Epstein (Will Ferrell) during the season finale of “Saturday Night Live.” The cold open took a dark turn as Ferrell’s spectral presence invaded Trump’s Oval Office during one of his infamous “mid-work naps.”
“Don’t worry, Donald, it’s me — your best friend, Jeffrey Epstein,” Ferrell crooned, decked out in ghastly garb that screamed both humor and horror.
“Jeffrey? But I thought you were dead?” a bewildered Trump exclaimed, clearly not ready for this ghostly reunion.
“I am, remember? I killed myself — wink!” Ferrell shot back, a cheeky nod to the swirling conspiracy theories surrounding Epstein’s controversial demise.
As the sketch unfolded, Johnson’s Trump filled Ferrell’s Epstein in on his current political standing, lamenting his “approval ratings in the 30s.”
“Oh, the 30s? Gross. Call me when it hits 17,” Ferrell quipped, both men sharing a laugh that felt as eerie as it was entertaining.
Reflecting on their past escapades, Ferrell’s ghost reminisced about the “fun times” they had together, lamenting they “should’ve taken more pictures.”
“No, it’s really bad that we took any,” Johnson’s Trump retorted, the humor tinged with an uncomfortable truth.
Ferrell’s Epstein wrapped up their spectral banter with a stark reminder: “No matter how many wars you start or how bad you tank the economy as a distraction, people will always associate you with me.”
The cold open also featured an Epstein-Trump duet and a slew of mock MAGA guest appearances, pushing the boundaries of satire and leaving audiences both laughing and gasping.
