Viral TikTok sensation and podcast host Bobbi Althoff has taken to social media to express her feelings regarding the barrage of hateful comments she receives online.
Following a recent video featuring her boyfriend, Althoff found herself inundated with negative remarks. Despite her desire for these comments to roll off her back, she admitted they affect her deeply.

In a heartfelt TikTok post, she revealed, “I hate making emotional videos like this and might regret posting it.” The influencer shared that every time she features her boyfriend—whom she has been with for a year—she faces a wave of derogatory comments. “Every single time I post him, it’s the same mean things,” she said, struggling to hold back tears.
Althoff noted that the negativity seems to stem from a predominantly male audience. “They just have so much to say, so many mean things,” she remarked, reflecting on the harshness of online interactions.
Continuing her candid discussion, she stated, “I’m human, and if you got this many negative things said about you every day it would get to you, too.” Althoff emphasized that she doesn’t seek sympathy; rather, she hopes to encourage those who harbor animosity towards her to reconsider their words.

As a self-described people pleaser, the constant stream of online vitriol has taken its toll. “I wish I didn’t care, but I’ve definitely stopped posting as much because all of my comments are just so mean,” she explained. The accusations that she is promiscuous have particularly stung. “Literally, I do not, but you won’t ever believe that,” she added.
Another layer of distress for Althoff is the thought that her children will one day read these hurtful comments. “I wish people weren’t so mean,” she said, fighting back tears. “I’m so grateful for this job; it has given me and my kids a really great life. But sometimes it’s harder, especially on Sundays when I don’t have my kids.”
Despite moving on from her ex-husband—who is now in a happy relationship—Althoff continues to face criticism regarding her dating life. “I was 21 when I met him on Bumble, and 10 months later, I was pregnant with our daughter,” she shared. “He gave me the two best things in my life, and I will forever be grateful for that.”

Feeling embarrassed by the relentless negativity, Althoff expressed a desire for it to cease. Her recent video addressing these issues has garnered over 2.3 million views, with many supportive comments flooding in.
“The hate is so forced... you’ve done nothing to deserve all that hate,” one viewer commented. Another added, “It sounds cliché, but people really are jealous.”
Supportive messages continued to pour in, with one viewer stating, “You shine and people love to try to take that shine away.” Another shared advice from their therapist: “It’s not my business what other people think of me.”

Althoff is no stranger to viral content. In another recent video, she discussed an unfortunate experience with Botox that also went viral, racking up over 1.7 million views.
In that clip, she recounted her struggles with jaw pain and how a dentist convinced her to receive Botox injections. Unfortunately, the treatment left her face frozen and unable to smile for an extended period. Viewers expressed shock at the amount of Botox administered and cautioned against seeking such treatments from non-specialists.
