Caitlin Clark Sparks Controversy After Concert with Morgan Wallen Post-WNBA Loss

May 10 2026

Caitlin Clark was spotted partying it up with country star Morgan Wallen in Indianapolis on Saturday night, just hours after the Indiana Fever suffered a crushing defeat to the Dallas Wings in their 2026 WNBA season opener. Talk about a quick turnaround!

Despite battling back stiffness, Clark put on a show during her first game back since injuries sidelined her last season, racking up 20 points in 31 minutes. But it wasn’t just her performance that caught attention; her foul-mouthed taunt to an opponent was caught on camera, adding fuel to the fire.

Enter Wallen, a figure as divisive as they come. The 32-year-old has a history of controversy, from flouting COVID protocols to using a racial slur and even getting arrested for throwing a chair at a bar. Yet, he still commands a massive following. Fans of the WNBA, however, were less than thrilled with Clark’s choice of company. “Dang it, I liked her too. He’s such a loser,” one fan lamented. Another quipped, “This is a white man’s wet dream come to life,” poking fun at Wallen’s fanbase.

“Get away from him!” one outraged follower exclaimed. “Well, that’s disheartening,” another added. The comments kept rolling in, with one particularly scathing remark: “She has made millions playing a kids’ game, and she knows dumb----- will cover for her online while she giggles walking out with a known racist.” Ouch!

Meanwhile, Clark’s teammate Sophie Cunningham was living it up in the crowd, capturing the moment on her phone and posting it to Instagram with the caption: “You bada-- b----.” Talk about mixed signals!

Luckily for Clark, the Fever won’t hit the court again until next Wednesday when they take on the Sparks in Los Angeles. A little time to cool off might be just what she needs.

In her return game, Clark hit the 1,000 career points milestone but had to leave twice for medical evaluations due to her stiff back. “It gets out of line pretty quickly,” she explained. “So just that, just getting my back put back in place a little bit. But other than that, feel great.”

Postgame, she expressed satisfaction with her performance despite the loss. “I feel good,” Clark said. “Started off a little slow, I think just the anxiety of the first game, trying to work through that.”

Coach Stephanie White confirmed that they’re keeping Clark’s minutes around 30 per game for now, praising her resilience. “We wouldn’t have played her 30 minutes if she wasn’t ok,” White stated. “She has adjusted her body... This is going to be an ongoing thing. Not just her.”
