Critics Eviscerate Pete Hegseth Over Testosterone Testing Hypocrisy
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s announcement of mandatory testosterone level testing for service members over 30 sparked outrage on social media, with critics tearing into the blatant hypocrisy.
“I’m authorizing a new screening program for testosterone deficiency for our service members, ensuring you have the right testosterone levels to operate at your absolute best, because it’s well-established science that as we age, testosterone levels often naturally drop,” Hegseth declared in a video on X, branding it “The High-T Department of War.”
The testing will be integrated into annual medical exams for service members. If doctors suggest testosterone replacement therapy, it won’t be mandatory for individuals.
“This initiative, it’s not about artificial enhancement,” Hegseth insisted. “It’s about restoring and optimizing your natural capabilities.”
Critics slammed the former weekend Fox News host, equating the proposed testosterone replacement therapy to “gender-affirming care.” The irony is palpable; shortly after taking office, Hegseth banned transgender individuals from military service and halted gender-affirming care for transgender troops.
Commenters speculated that Hegseth’s push for testosterone testing reveals his own insecurities regarding masculinity. Others expressed confusion over his decision to implement testosterone tests while simultaneously eliminating mandatory flu vaccinations for service members.
