Donald Trump Jr. Slammed for Disturbing 'Sexy' Comment About Daughter

Jul 16 2026

Donald Trump Jr. sparked outrage with a video where he referred to his teenage daughter as "sexy." The clip, originally posted in 2024, has resurfaced, igniting a firestorm of criticism.

Kai Trump, 19, made headlines on July 15 while attending the 2026 ESPY Awards in New York City. She strutted down the red carpet in a gold sequin dress featuring a thigh-high split, flaunting a heavily bronzed makeup look.

Social media users brutally compared Kai's appearance to her grandfather, Donald Trump. However, the focus quickly shifted to Don Jr. and his inappropriate comment made before the 2024 Republican National Convention. In the video, he sat next to Kai while getting his hair and makeup done.

With Kai in the background, Don Jr. looked at the camera and asked, "What do you think? Getting makeup to make me look sexy like you." Kai smiled and replied, "I think you look great."

Don Jr. responded, "Thank you Kai, I’m glad you think I look very beautiful," before turning the camera back to himself. He acknowledged, "I don’t do this often, but in HD, you better do it."

The post did not sit well with social media users. One user shared the video alongside images of Kai from the ESPY event, stating, "Every time I see Kai Trump name or image I am reminded of the dressing room thing at RNC 2024 when her own FATHER Donald Trump Jr., said 'make me look sexy like you' and she smiled."

This user added, "Don Jr. thinks his own minor (at the time) daughter is 'sexy'." Critics wasted no time calling out Don Jr., with one remarking, "Whole family is full of weirdos."

Another user chimed in, "Her own father thinks his own daughter who was 17 at the time is SEXY," while another quipped, "DIRECT from Daddy’s playbook. We love to see it." A fourth comment echoed, "It runs in the family."

The resurfacing of this video coincided with Kai's appearance at the ESPY Awards. During the event, she discussed her disinterest in following her grandfather into politics, stating it wasn't her passion.

Speaking to Sportico, she expressed, "Honestly, I kind of stay out of politics completely; it’s just not my thing. I just like showing my life and showing how, you know, you can still be an athlete and you can still do a ton of other things, enjoy a ton of other things."

She continued, "So I just kind of like just showing people that everything’s possible. And I love just showing the new generation my, like, progress I guess through college eventually, but obviously how I got to where I am today."
