Dave Portnoy Slams Eric Swalwell Over Sexual Assault Claims: ‘Serial Drunk Scumbag Cheater’

Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy unleashed a scathing critique of Rep. Eric Swalwell, who faces serious allegations of sexual assault and infidelity involving a suspected Chinese spy. Portnoy suggested that the California gubernatorial candidate deserves prison time.

“Wait, is this the Fang Fang guy?” Portnoy tweeted on Saturday, alluding to Christine “Fang Fang” Fang, who has been linked to Swalwell.

“At best, he is a serial drunk scumbag cheater caught cheating with a Chinese spy and multiple staffers. What a guy!” he added, emphasizing the gravity of the situation.

“At worst, he belongs in prison for life if the allegations are true,” the 49-year-old concluded, underscoring his disdain for Swalwell's actions.

This social media jab comes just a month after Swalwell had suggested that Portnoy should “stick to pizza” rather than comment on geopolitical issues like the Iran war.

Swalwell, currently a frontrunner in California's Democratic gubernatorial primary, has been accused of sexual assault by four women. One former staffer’s disturbing account is now under investigation by the Manhattan District Attorney.

The staffer alleged that after a night of drinking in New York in April 2024, she awoke to find Swalwell in bed with her, claiming, “I was pushing him off of me, saying no. He didn’t stop.”

In another incident, she reported being left bruised and bleeding following an alleged assault. Another accuser recounted waking up naked next to Swalwell after a drunken night out, while yet another claimed he sent her explicit photos on Snapchat after discussing politics online.

Despite these serious allegations, Swalwell, who is married with three children, has vehemently denied the claims, labeling them as “flat false” in a video posted to social media on Friday.
