Dua Lipa Unleashes Fury on Ivanka Trump Over Controversial Billion-Dollar Resort
Dua Lipa is not holding back as she targets Ivanka Trump and the Albanian government over a proposed billion-dollar resort on an Albanian island.
The singer, who recently tied the knot with James Bond contender Callum Turner, unleashed a scathing critique of Trump and her husband Jared Kushner’s plans for a massive luxury resort that has sparked intense protests from local residents.

In a bold move, Lipa, whose roots trace back to Kosovo Albanian parents, voiced her support for demonstrators opposing the $14 billion development on Sazan Island during her Service95 Book Club podcast.
Environmental advocates and locals are raising alarms about the potential destruction of the island’s pristine natural environment. The site overlaps with the Vjosa-Narta wetland, a designated wildlife sanctuary crucial for thousands of flamingos.

On her podcast, Lipa engaged with Albanian academic Lea Yip, expressing admiration for the protestors’ dedication. “I find it so inspiring to see how much people really care,” she stated. “What I actually find concerning is the principle that the government could just change the law to remove the environmental protection without any kind of public consultation.”
Albanian environmental activist Besjana Gurri praised Lipa’s remarks as a “powerful message” directed at the Albanian government.
Despite the growing backlash against her project, Trump appeared unfazed, opting to celebrate her daughter Arabella’s 15th birthday on social media instead.

She shared a series of photos of her daughter, proclaiming, “Happy 15th birthday to my extraordinary girl. You amaze me every day with your kindness, curiosity, brilliance and strength.”
Trump continued to express pride in her daughter’s accomplishments, highlighting her dedication and compassion.

However, backlash has infiltrated Trump’s social media presence, with protestors flooding her posts with comments explaining their opposition to the resort project.
Members of the Flamingo Revolution have bombarded her posts with emojis and definitions of a National Park, demanding that the area remain protected.

One particularly targeted post featured images from Donald Trump Jr.’s wedding in the Bahamas, which she shared in June. Critics responded fiercely: “A country’s biodiversity cannot be destroyed. Just because you want to build a tourist resort, lives are at stake, unique animal habitats and an entire cultural heritage are at stake,” one user wrote.
Another protestor added, “Stop the project! Respect the planet, the people, the wildlife.”
The Associated Press reported that the controversial project includes two main components: coastal development in the Narta Lagoon and the resort on Sazan Island, featuring hotels, apartments, villas, and a marina.
