FBI Uncovers Sinister Drone and Sniper Plot Targeting Trump’s UFC Event
A “planned attack” on President Donald Trump’s UFC fight at the White House involved explosive-laden drones and snipers targeting fleeing viewers, according to FBI officials.
As of Monday, five individuals were in custody, with investigators identifying 23 more as part of a potential network of plotters. Arrests occurred in Ohio, Missouri, and California, sources confirmed.
The alleged scheme included using drones packed with explosives to strike buildings near the event. The explosions would trigger a mass evacuation, directing crowds toward a pre-staged sniper team, officials stated.
A “second wave” was reportedly set to storm the White House gate, escalating the chaos.
The FBI became aware of the threat on June 10, just four days before the UFC Freedom 250 event was scheduled on the South Lawn of the White House. This high-profile fight coincided with Trump’s 80th birthday celebration.
Upon discovering the threat, the FBI secured probable cause for the arrest of one suspect in Cincinnati.
Investigators found Signal chats where at least 23 individuals allegedly discussed their attack plans for the UFC event. Some suspects reportedly intended to travel to Fredericksburg, Virginia, on June 12 or 13 to finalize preparations.
One suspect claimed the objective was to target “capitalist elites,” “billionaires,” or politicians who received donations from the American Israel Public Affairs Committee.
The massive UFC fight attracted over 4,000 attendees and included 1,200 active-duty service members.
“Thanks to the rapid action of the FBI, our partners, and the Department of Justice in a multi-state operation, multiple individuals are now in custody and allegedly planned attacks were stopped cold,” stated FBI Director Kash Patel.
“I want to thank our great agents and partners; this work remains ongoing, and we will continue to update the public as permitted,” he added.
Additional details regarding charges were expected to be released later Tuesday.
