Fox News Host Obliterates Trump’s Freedom 250 Fair with Brutal Reality Check
Jessica Tarlov unleashed a brutal takedown of Donald Trump’s Freedom 250 Fair, showcasing a desolate scene that contradicts the hype surrounding the event celebrating America’s 250th birthday.
The Great American State Fair, touted by Trump, has been marred by canceled concerts, crumbling decorations, and a turnout that can only be described as pathetic, even with favorable weather. Tarlov, co-host of Fox News’ The Five, posted on X, “I’m out here at the State Fair, and well, it is as empty as everyone says. It’s also very hot!”
In her post, she seized the moment to promote her upcoming book, stating, “Now is a great time to mention that my new book, I Disagree, is coming out soon, and it talks all about how to find common ground with folks who you may not agree with/who think it’s okay Donald Trump turned our 250th into her personal party.” The event’s latest embarrassment included a stage collapse that nearly crushed a dancer.

Tarlov’s video on X further emphasized the fair’s emptiness. “I am at the State Fair. It is as empty as advertised. It is also so hot that it’s not really safe to be out here, especially if you think about people who typically come, who might be a little bit older, maybe supporters of the president,” she remarked.
She pondered how to engage with Trump supporters about Freedom 250 and its implications for Independence Day. Tarlov suggested her book could serve as a valuable resource for those navigating conversations with individuals living in an “alternative reality.”
Fox News’ own live coverage captured mostly vacant areas, fueling online ridicule despite Trump’s claims of success for the fair. Attendees interviewed at the venue offered a more optimistic view.

Blake Boggs, visiting from Grapevine, Texas, described the fair as “all for America.” He stated, “It’s cool to be able to come out here and not just enjoy our nation’s history but each state, and so that’s great. Absolutely, I don’t think there’s anything really partisan about that. I mean, if anything, it should be unifying.”
Several Democratic-led states opted out of participating in the fair due to financial issues or concerns regarding White House involvement. Following Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro’s decision not to send official delegates, Senators John Fetterman and Dave McCormick collaborated with organizations to run a state pavilion—an effort Republican visitors Debbie Arrington and Maria Stevens expressed pride in.
“Especially the significance of Philadelphia in our country’s history. Really? Pennsylvania decided they didn’t want to be a part of it,” remarked fellow visitor Raelynn Frederick.
Organizer Freedom 250 claims attendance has reached upwards of 200,000 at the fair and its FIFA Fan Fest zone. However, CNN reported that White House staffers are privately voicing concerns over attendance figures for Trump’s July Fourth address.
