Hunter Biden Flirts with 2028 Presidential Bid Against JD Vance: A Political Circus Unfolds

Jun 02 2026

Hunter Biden, the son of the former president, has thrown his hat into the ring for a potential presidential run in 2028, stirring up a frenzy on social media.

A parody account named "Hunter Biden 2028" posted a provocative question, "are you ready patriots?" on X, showcasing a hypothetical matchup against current vice president JD Vance.

The post claimed Biden, alongside running mate Jon Ossoff, would dominate with 438 electoral votes and over 91 million votes. In stark contrast, Vance and his theoretical partner Elise Stefanik would only muster 100 electoral votes and just over 77 million votes.

Biden, celebrating seven years of sobriety after battling addiction, responded with "LFG," shorthand for "Let's f---ing go," signaling his readiness to enter the political fray.

Reactions to the post were mixed; some expressed fervent support for Biden's potential candidacy.

One enthusiastic supporter declared, "I wish that you would run! This is your Party and you are a true Democrat - a Biden Democrat." They emphasized the alignment of millions with Biden and his father.

Another user urged him to take the plunge, stating, "It’s not just America that needs you, but the rest of the world would like a return to decency, civility, and the rule of law."

However, not all feedback was positive. Critics took to trolling Biden relentlessly.

"Think laptop would cause issues?" one user quipped, referencing the ongoing controversy surrounding a laptop linked to Biden.

"This is so embarrassing for real," another chimed in, highlighting the skepticism surrounding his political aspirations.

Biden's ambitions follow a recent interview with Candace Owens, a conservative figure who has long targeted the Biden family.

In his memoir "Beautiful Things," Biden candidly discussed his struggles with crack cocaine addiction. He faced legal troubles in 2024 related to weapon acquisition.

Before leaving office, the former president granted Hunter a pardon for any crimes he "committed or may have committed" between January 1, 2014, and December 1, 2024.

This marked a historic moment as no sitting president's child had ever been convicted of a crime before. Biden's case highlighted the harsh realities of addiction, resonating with millions of Americans facing similar battles.

The trial unearthed unflattering details about Biden's life during his addiction struggles.
