‘I’m Completely Over It’: Marjorie Taylor Greene Slams Trump After Aimless Address

Apr 02 2026

Former Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) unleashed her frustration on President Donald Trump following his disjointed speech Wednesday night, where he attempted to rationalize the ongoing conflict with Iran.

“I had high hopes for President Trump to prioritize America. That’s what I believed he would do,” Greene expressed on X, reflecting her discontent as a former supporter turned critic. “All I heard from his speech tonight was WAR WAR WAR.”

In his prime-time address, Trump failed to provide a timeline or a coherent strategy for concluding the war, instead comparing the current conflict's duration to historical wars like World War I and II, and Vietnam.

The ramifications of his speech were immediate; crude oil futures surged while stock markets experienced a downturn.

However, Greene's criticism extended beyond the ambiguity surrounding the war.

She compiled a list of grievances regarding the topics Trump neglected to address.

“I’m completely over it,” she stated, concluding her remarks with a prayer for military personnel, peace, and “innocent people all over the world.”

Once a prominent figure in Trump’s circle and a far-right conspiracy theorist, Greene frequently appeared alongside him at significant events and even spoke on his behalf at the 2024 Republican National Convention.

Yet, their relationship soured last year, reportedly due to Greene’s advocacy for the full disclosure of documents related to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, who had ties to Trump.

Trump dismissed the release of these files as a “Democrat hoax” and labeled Greene as “Marjorie Traitor Greene” for her stance.

Ultimately, Greene issued an apology for her involvement in what she termed “toxic politics,” resigned from Congress, and declared that MAGA “was all a lie.”
