Jesse Watters Sparks Outrage with Disturbing Comments on Israel, Fans Ready to Boycott

Jun 25 2026

Jesse Watters ignited a firestorm by labeling Israel as "the Jews" during a recent episode of Fox's The Five.

Just a day after similar remarks, he doubled down, this time using "Israeli Jews." Democratic panelist Jessica Tarlov quickly intervened, pointing out that equating Israel with "the Jews" is fundamentally incorrect.

"What did we learn last night, Jesse?" she pressed, referencing her previous correction of him. The tension between the two is palpable on the show.

Viewers reacted with outrage, some pledging to turn off the channel for good. One viewer on X stated, "Watters also said 'we know Israel has an itchy trigger finger' regarding Hezbollah. I turned it off immediately. Done with Fox."

Another user remarked, "I don’t think Watters is a Nazi, but he’s not the brightest bulb in the lamp. He is also undereducated, like so many talking heads on cable news these days. 'The Jewish Question' connotes Wansee and the Final Solution. I’m sure Watters doesn’t know that. Someone should tell him."

Another comment questioned the historical implications of Watters' phrasing: "Jesse Watters just said 'the Jewish Question' on Fox about the Iran/Israel deal. What does that phrase actually mean historically? Dogwhistle or dumb phrasing? Raw facts."

A different viewer criticized Watters as a mere mouthpiece for Trump: "Watters is one of Trump’s useful idiots. He’ll just parrot whatever the Trump clown says."

Another pointed out that many non-Jewish Israelis support Netanyahu's actions against Hezbollah: "Midwit Watters also ignores that plenty of non-Jewish Israelis support what Netanyahu is doing to Hezbollah in Lebanon. It’s not just 'the Jews' or 'Israeli Jews.'

One commenter accused him of covert anti-Semitism: "Using the word Jews to address the nation of Israel is pure anti-Semitism in covert. It is an attempt to minimize the security worries of a whole country to a religious group’s intents."

Another user drew a stark comparison: "It looks like Tucker has a replacement on Fox News. New Neo Nazi = Jesse Watters," referencing former Fox host Tucker Carlson.

During the June 22 broadcast, Watters stated, "The Jewish question is gonna be a situation with this deal, because the population of Israel, they want Netanyahu to go hard in Lebanon...and the Iranians know that."

Tarlov responded sharply, saying, "I don’t know about...what kind of coat rack Jesse just pulled out of his bag, but you’re not, also, supposed to say Jews instead of Israel. They’re separate things. Just say Israel."

Watters retorted, "Are you speech policing me?" while laughing at Tarlov.

"I’m just giving you some Jew advice," she shot back.

Greg Gutfield chimed in with humor, quipping, "Now, do Platner," referencing a Senate candidate from Maine known for having a Nazi tattoo.
