Jesse Watters' Stupid Remarks on Obama’s Middle Name Spark Outrage
Jesse Watters, the Fox News host, has been slammed as a 'moron' for his ridiculous defense of Donald Trump's use of Barack Obama's middle name, Hussein, during a recent broadcast.
Jessica Tarlov, a fellow panelist, confronted Watters after he dismissed concerns that Trump’s repeated use of Obama's middle name was a thinly veiled attempt to revive old claims about Obama’s religion. Watters called it "funny," showing a blatant disregard for the implications.
This exchange unfolded on The Five, where the panel discussed Obama’s recent podcast appearance. Obama had previously remarked on Trump’s obsession with him, stating, "I obviously have a room in his head. A suite in his head."

Watters had just issued a fiery warning about 'Communist' Democrats in New York City when he defended Trump’s habit of using Obama’s full name. He claimed, "Trump talks a lot. He says a lot of things. So yeah, he’s gonna mention Barack Hussein Obama. Part of that is just he likes to say 'Hussein.'"
Tarlov pressed him, asking, "Why does he like to say Hussein?" Watters replied, "’Cause it’s funny that the president’s middle name was Hussein," and then incredulously asked if she didn’t find it hysterical.
Tarlov shot back with clarity, stating, "No, I don’t. I think it’s interesting in the context of saying that he’s a Muslim, which is why he says it, so that people still think he’s a Muslim."

Watters then referenced an old interview clip that conservative commentators often use against Obama. He stated, "Well, he did say he was Muslim, and then he cleaned it up. Remember that NBC interview? He said, 'My Muslim faith.' I don’t know what he is. I don’t care what he is. He’s probably an atheist."
Tarlov retorted sharply, "You know what he is!" to which Watters responded dismissively, "He is, I know. He’s retired."
The segment drew immediate backlash online, with viewers accusing Watters of reviving conspiracy theories that plagued Obama throughout his political career.

One critic labeled Watters "a top notch a--hole," adding that he needs to mature and stop behaving like a child. Another user fired back, "No, Watters, you t--t, Obama never said he’s Muslim. And if he were, who cares?"
Many argued that emphasizing "Hussein" was a deliberate tactic to incite anti-Muslim sentiment among viewers. One commenter noted, "It’s ‘hey, Americans, remember that you hate Muslims wink wink.’"
Obama has consistently addressed false claims about his religion throughout his political career. At a rally in 2008, he stated emphatically, "I’ve been to the same church - the same Christian church - for almost 20 years."
