Joe Rogan Mocks Trump's Bizarre Justification for AI Jesus Meme

Apr 15 2026

During a recent episode of the “Joe Rogan Experience,” Joe Rogan humorously addressed President Donald Trump’s now-removed meme that portrayed him in a Jesus-like manner, attributing its creation to an “AI God.”

Rogan, known for his often supportive stance towards Trump, made the quip while engaging in a discussion about artificial intelligence with retired Navy SEAL Andy Stumpf. “AI God has to come alive and take over the system,” he remarked, chuckling. “AI God — the one that created that Jesus meme that Trump just posted.”

Stumpf joined in on the banter, mocking Trump’s assertion that the controversial image was meant to depict him as a doctor rather than a religious figure. The AI-generated artwork showed Trump in a flowing white robe, hands aglow, seemingly performing a healing act on a sick individual.

“Joe, I told you. He explained it. He was a doctor,” Stumpf said with sarcasm, prompting laughter from Rogan. “That’s what they call them. That’s what AI God calls Jesus. Jesus is a doctor,” Rogan retorted.

On Monday, Trump attempted to clarify his position regarding the image during a press briefing at the White House, insisting it depicted him “as a doctor” and not as Jesus Christ. “I did post it, and I thought it was me as a doctor,” he stated, referring to the meme shared on Orthodox Easter, a day celebrating the resurrection of Jesus. “Only the fake news could come up with that one.”

Trump continued, “I said, how did they come up with that? It’s supposed to be me as a doctor, making people better, and I do make people better. I do make people a lot better.”

Despite backlash from critics and even some supporters, Trump shared another Jesus-themed meme on Truth Social the following Wednesday. This new image, originally posted by an X user, depicted him being embraced by Jesus.

“The Radical Left Lunatics might not like this, but I think it is quite nice!!!,” Trump captioned the post.
