Jon Stewart Unleashes a Scathing Forecast on MAGA's Future Post-Trump

Jun 11 2026

Jon Stewart slammed the MAGA-verse, likening President Donald Trump’s influence to Iron Man’s pivotal role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The comparison comes as the MCU flounders after Iron Man's death in “Avengers: Endgame,” forcing Marvel to resurrect Robert Downey Jr. in a new role as Doctor Doom.

Stewart, speaking at an FYC panel, warned that Trump’s position in MAGA might be “non-transferable.”

“Once they lose Iron Man, they can try and throw him back in there as Dr. Doom or some other fucking thing,” he stated, turning to longtime correspondent Jordan Klepper for insight on whether the MAGA crowd would accept a new leader.

Klepper, who has immersed himself in Trump supporter culture at rallies, predicted they wouldn’t embrace anyone else. “It is personality-based through and through,” he asserted.

Stewart then challenged the notion that Vice President JD Vance or Secretary of State Marco Rubio could take over the MAGA mantle. He declared that the future leader will either carry the Trump name as a family heirloom or inherit a drastically altered Republican machine.

“It’s either going to be somebody with the Trump name, and it’s a family heirloom that’s passed down, or whoever is the next leader of the Republican party will be inheriting an entirely different machine,” he added.
