Kai Trump, at just 19, revealed her mother Vanessa's ongoing fight against breast cancer after surgery, stating, “My mom’s doing good.”

While strutting down the red carpet at the 2026 ESPY Awards in New York City, she added, “She’s doing better.”
With a smile plastered on her face, Kai spoke briefly about her mother, who is 48 years old. The recent high school graduate is set to attend the University of Miami this fall and will play golf on the women’s collegiate team.

For the event, Kai donned a striking gold dress featuring a high slit, complemented by matching heels, a gold cuff, a watch, a diamond necklace, and drop earrings.

On the golf course, she shared advice from her grandfather, President Donald J. Trump: “Enjoy every moment of it. It’s going to be rocky, but enjoy every moment of it.”
Regarding legendary golfer Tiger Woods, who is currently dating Vanessa, Kai mentioned his advice: “Be yourself, trust the process.”

Vanessa first disclosed her breast cancer diagnosis in May through an Instagram post. She stated, “While this isn’t the news anyone expects, I’m working closely with my medical team on a treatment plan.”

She expressed gratitude for the support from her family and friends during this challenging time.
A few weeks later, Vanessa was spotted shopping with Kai in West Palm Beach, Florida, appearing upbeat despite her diagnosis.

In June, Vanessa updated her followers on her recovery journey after surgery. “Over the past four weeks, I’ve been recovering from surgery, and I’m grateful to be healing and moving forward,” she said.

She hinted at the next phase of her treatment but did not provide specific details. “Soon, I’ll be starting the second stage of my treatment,” she noted.
Reports indicate that Tiger Woods has been a steadfast support for Vanessa since they began dating in early 2025. An insider revealed he is “staying focused” on being her rock during this tough time.

“He’s proud of how positive she’s stayed and how she’s handling everything so far,” the source added. “She’s been so strong and he truly believes she’s going to be OK. He’s just trying to support her however he can right now.”
Vanessa was previously married to Donald Trump Jr., with whom she shares five children: Kai, Donald, 17, Tristan, 14, Spencer, 13, and Chloe, 11.
