During a live interview on NewsMax, Noem revealed alarming details about her new role as the Special Envoy for the Shield of the Americas, following her removal from the Trump administration due to a series of leadership failures and spending scandals.
Donald Trump ousted Noem from her cabinet position in March after bipartisan backlash over her $220 million taxpayer-funded border security ad campaign, which featured her prominently on horseback in front of Mount Rushmore.
After nearly five months off the air, Noem resurfaced to discuss U.S. efforts to control gangs in Haiti, labeling the nation a "lost cause." She stated, "Haiti is an area that’s been a lost cause for a very long [time], but we’ve got some gang suppression forces that we’re working to put into that country and see if we can bring in some stability so we don’t face the kind of migration we’ve seen."
