Matt Damon’s Biceps Are Viral, But His Stunt Double Steals the Show
Matt Damon’s biceps in “The Odyssey” have exploded across social media, but he’s quick to deflect credit for his impressive physique.
On the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast, Damon disclosed that a female stunt double took his place during a pivotal scene in Christopher Nolan’s film — specifically, “when we did the forced perspective stuff of the Laestrygonians.”
Host Josh Horowitz lauded Damon for showcasing “the greatest bicep work” he had ever witnessed outside of a Chris Hemsworth film.
That’s when Damon revealed the surprising detail.

“My double was a woman, a female stunt performer — who had the greatest arms I’ve ever seen,” he stated, naming stunt double Devyn Dalton.
Damon, portraying Odysseus, King of Ithaca, recounted their first encounter in a catering tent on set. He expressed gratitude by hugging her for her contributions.
“So there are those shots in the movie where you see these giants looming over me, and so it was almost 100% my arms in the movie, but you gotta give it up where it’s due,” he emphasized.
HuffPost has reached out to Dalton for her reaction to Damon’s comments.
In a recent conversation with HuffPost Senior Producer Ellen Lee, Damon described the film as “the most ambitious” project he’s ever been part of.
“I mean, I’ve never worked that hard on a film … it felt more like an expedition than a movie,” he remarked.
