Meghan McCain Slams Alex Jones Over 'Nonsense' Allegations About Her Father
Meghan McCain has taken a strong stance against Alex Jones, condemning his “nonsense” allegations about her late father, Senator John McCain. In a pointed message on social media, she threatened legal action against the Infowars founder for labeling her father a “bagman” for various terrorist organizations.
“My family has the resources to sue your ass for this bullshit and we all know how that’s gone for you in the past,” McCain stated in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, early Monday.
This incident marks yet another chapter in Jones's history of legal challenges stemming from his controversial statements. Previously, he was ordered to pay $1.4 billion to the families affected by the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting after he claimed the tragedy was fabricated and that the victims were actors.
Following his bankruptcy filing in late 2022, Jones's legal team informed a judge that the plaintiffs “have no possible hope of collecting” the full amount of the judgment.
McCain's remarks were triggered by Jones's recent claims during an episode of his online show, where he suggested that her father, a prominent figure in the GOP known for his hawkish stance on foreign policy, had colluded with Islamist terror groups as an insider within the U.S. government.

During the broadcast, Jones asserted, “Going back over 30 years, Sen. John McCain was the bagman — and sometimes he delivered the checks himself in literally planes of cash — to Al Qaeda, then to ISIS, Boko Haram, all of it. And they would use them to knock out our enemies, but also as the pretext to them come in and invade and attack.”
He further alleged that British intelligence, along with the U.S. and Israel, continues to “fund and support and run all the most vicious Muslim groups there are. And bring them in. They say fight ’em over there so we don’t fight ’em over here.”
Jones continued with his controversial narrative, claiming, “The West brings them in, then when the Muslims attack us, they set up TSA to grope our testicles. They take our rights; they have an excuse to go invade these countries. All in the name of keeping us safe.”
