Michael Kosta Labels Trump 'Irresponsible Fool’ With The One Honor He Dreads
“Daily Show” correspondent Michael Kosta took a jab at President Donald Trump, presenting him with an award that he likely wishes to avoid, while also noting a surprising upside to the ongoing tensions with Iran.
In recognition of Earth Day, Kosta emphasized the impact of the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, a critical passage for approximately 20% of the global oil supply, which has compelled nations to explore alternative energy sources amid soaring crude oil prices.
“So President Trump, thank you, your reckless actions are inadvertently pushing countries worldwide to invest more in wind, solar, and other energy forms you might dismiss as ‘unmanly,’” Kosta remarked.
“I doubt that was your intention when you initiated this conflict, as it seems you lacked a coherent strategy. Yet, by sheer coincidence, you’ve contributed positively to the planet. At this point, you’re practically a modern-day Captain Planet,” he added.
Kosta further noted that mere praise would likely fall flat without a tangible recognition, leading him to bestow upon Trump the “Earth Day Award For Being An Irresponsible Fool Who Accidentally Achieved Something Beneficial.”
“Congratulations, sir,” Kosta wrapped up his segment.
