Military Probes Helicopter Flyby Near Kid Rock's Residence

Military officials have launched an investigation following a video posted by musician Kid Rock, which appears to show two U.S. Army helicopters hovering close to his mansion in the Nashville area. The video, shared over the weekend, features the Trump-supporting artist clapping and saluting as the helicopters pass by.

“Fort Campbell leadership is aware of a video circulating on social media depicting AH-64 Apache helicopters operating in the vicinity of a private residence associated with Mr. Robert Ritchie (also known as ‘Kid Rock’),” stated Maj. Jonathon Bless, public affairs officer for the 101st Airborne Division.

According to Bless, officials at the base, which spans the Kentucky-Tennessee border, have “initiated an investigation to review the circumstances surrounding this activity.”

The incident occurred near Kid Rock’s estate in Whites Creek, a Nashville suburb, where part of the property is reportedly referred to as the “Southern White House.” A sign bearing that name is visible in Kid Rock’s video, positioned above a replica Statue of Liberty.

On X, where he posted the footage on Saturday, Kid Rock also criticized California Governor Gavin Newsom. “This is a level of respect that s*** for brains Governor of California will never know,” he remarked. “God Bless America and all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to defend her.”

The Michigan-born singer has been a staunch ally of President Donald Trump. Earlier this year, he made headlines for performing at Turning Point USA’s “All-American Halftime Show,” which was broadcast to rival the NFL Super Bowl halftime show featuring Puerto Rican star Bad Bunny. This selection sparked outrage among conservatives due to Kid Rock’s previous criticisms of Trump and Bad Bunny’s Spanish performances.

A spokesperson for the 101st Airborne Division clarified that the helicopters were not connected to a “No Kings” protest occurring in Nashville on the same day, which attracted thousands of participants. “These helicopters were flying a route in the Nashville vicinity for training purposes,” the spokesperson explained. “Any association with the No Kings Rally also happening in Nashville that day is entirely coincidental.”

The Independent has reached out to both the U.S. Army and the 101st Airborne Division for further comment.

In recent months, the Trump administration has faced scrutiny over allegations of utilizing military resources for domestic political agendas. Accusations include partisan speeches delivered with soldiers in attendance and claims of Predator Drones being deployed over anti-ICE protests in Los Angeles.
