Trump Ally Proposes Outrageous 'Sterilization' for Foreign Visitors Amid Supreme Court Ruling
Sean Davis, CEO of a right-wing media outlet, sparked outrage by suggesting the “sterilization of all foreign visitors” among other extreme measures following a Supreme Court ruling that upheld birthright citizenship.
This radical proposal emerged after the Supreme Court ruled 6-3 against President Donald Trump’s executive order aimed at dismantling the Constitutional right to citizenship by birth.
Davis laid out his shocking “ways forward” in a post on X, which included denying entry to all pregnant foreigners and all female foreigners, alongside the sterilization mandate.
He also proposed that states could cease issuing birth certificates to noncitizens and even suggested the “Dissolution of the Union,” claiming that a “nation which can’t even restrict who gets to be a citizen isn’t a nation.”
“If you think all these options are not great, understand that that is what happens when unelected judges decide that they are in charge of the country and get to write its laws,” he stated.
This incendiary post coincided with Rep. Andy Ogles (R-Tenn.) introducing legislation to bar pregnant non-citizen women from entering the U.S.
Davis faced immediate backlash for his proposals. New York Times columnist David French labeled the entire list as “absolute BONKERS” on X.
French further criticized the notion that a long-standing rule, which has contributed to the U.S. becoming a powerful and prosperous nation, could be blamed for national decline, calling it “just wild.”
Critics were particularly appalled by the sterilization suggestion, highlighting its extremity.
In response to the backlash, Davis doubled down, claiming, “that’s what happens when John Roberts tries to cosplay as King Solomon. He somehow only gives us worse and more extreme options than what were previously available.”
Following the Supreme Court's decision, Trump urged Congress to eliminate birthright citizenship without needing a lengthy constitutional amendment process. He declared on Truth Social, “No long and unwieldy Constitutional Amendment is necessary! Congress should start TODAY to work on ending expensive and unfair to our Country, Birthright Citizenship. They will have my Complete and Total Support!”
