Trump Coinages New Term in Rant on Transgender Issues and SAVE Act
President Donald Trump took to Truth Social on Sunday, unleashing a convoluted tirade about the SAVE Act and his frustrations with Democrats, introducing a peculiar term to denounce what he termed transgender “mutilization.”
In his extensive post, Trump emphasized the significance of his voter ID legislation, which seeks to enforce stringent identification requirements for voters to validate their U.S. citizenship, declaring it “far more important than anything else we are doing in the Senate.”
He further stated that he would reject any funding agreement with Democrats aimed at resolving the ongoing partial government shutdown unless it encompassed several of his priorities. The shutdown has left the Department of Homeland Security without necessary funding.
Trump insisted that any resolution to the shutdown, which has resulted in unpaid security agents at major U.S. airports, must include “approval of Voter I.D., (with picture!), Citizenship to Vote, No Mail-In Voting (with exceptions), All Paper Ballots, No Men In Women’s Sports, and No Transgender MUTILIZATION of our precious children.”
“In other words, lump everything together as one, and VOTE!!!” he urged. “Kill the Filibuster, and stay in D.C. for Easter, if necessary.”
It remains ambiguous whether Trump’s use of “mutilization” was intentional or a slip of the tongue; he had previously made a similar statement on March 17. This latest addition to his lexicon follows other notable terms he has coined, such as “covfefe” and “bigly.”

The president’s remarks come as Transportation Security Administration officers continue to work without pay due to a funding lapse at the Department of Homeland Security that has persisted for five weeks, leading to chaos at airports nationwide.
To mitigate the situation, Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers are set to assist with airport security starting Monday while also enforcing Trump’s immigration policies.
Trump promised “security like no one has ever seen before” and vowed for “the immediate arrest of all Illegal Immigrants who have come into our Country, with heavy emphasis on those from Somalia.”
However, doubts have been raised regarding the effectiveness of this approach.
A federal law enforcement veteran, who requested anonymity, expressed skepticism about ICE agents managing TSA checkpoints, suggesting it would likely be an ineffective endeavor. He noted that the training ICE agents receive does not align with TSA responsibilities, such as analyzing X-ray images of luggage and conducting respectful pat-downs when necessary.
The ongoing shutdown has impacted over 50,000 TSA employees, with nearly 400 resigning amid the crisis, exacerbating staffing shortages. Additionally, many have reported sick days, pushing TSA absences to unprecedented levels recently.

Major airports like Houston, Atlanta, and New Orleans have faced severe disruptions, with passengers experiencing hours-long waits in security lines.
White House officials have voiced concerns about the potential ramifications of this issue on upcoming events like the World Cup if not addressed promptly.
“I’m extremely worried, not just short term but throughout the summer,” a White House official remarked. “World Cup and America250 could be crippled if this isn’t resolved asap.”
