Trump's Insane Blame Game: Federal Judge Responsible for 'Death and Destruction'!

Jun 01 2026

President Donald Trump unleashed a shocking accusation, claiming a federal judge is to blame for "the death and destruction caused to our country" in a desperate defense of his controversial ballroom project.

On May 31, Trump took to Truth Social, targeting Judge Richard Leon amid a legal battle over the planned $400 million White House Ballroom. Leon halted construction, citing a lack of formal congressional authorization. Trump insists the project is essential for national security.

In a fit of rage, Trump declared, “Judge Richard Leon should stop playing games with America’s security! If anything happens, he will be held responsible for the Death and Destruction caused to our Country.”

Trump's post followed his self-promotion as the headliner for the floundering USA 250 celebrations, which faced major dropouts. His comments drew immediate ire from conservatives who felt his ego was bruised.

Critics on social media slammed Trump’s remarks, asserting that the ballroom has nothing to do with national security and everything to do with his inflated sense of self-importance. One user stated, "A ballroom doesn’t protect our national security." Another added, "Trump is using security as an excuse to build his ballroom at taxpayers’ expense. He’s slippery as a snake."

Despite the backlash, some supporters rallied behind Trump, claiming, "We the people support the beautiful addition to our White House and the security it provides!"

On May 17, Trump's $1 billion ballroom project hit a significant roadblock when the Senate Parliamentarian ruled that the funding provision violated budget reconciliation rules, requiring 60 votes to pass.

Senator Jeff Merkley, the senior Democrat on the Budget Committee, announced the parliamentarian's decision, stating, "While we expect Republicans to change this bill to appease Trump, Democrats are prepared to challenge any change to this bill."

Judiciary Committee Republicans indicated they would modify their proposal despite the ruling. A statement from them read, "Technical adjustments are a standard part of the budget reconciliation process. Revisions and conversations with the parliamentarian are ongoing."

Trump continued his tirade on Truth Social, insisting, “With the advent of highly sophisticated and powerful modern-day weaponry, we can no longer defend Washington, D.C., with rifles and pistols alone. This ridiculous lawsuit must be dismissed, IMMEDIATELY!”

The courtroom drama escalates as Trump’s extravagant plans clash with legal realities and public opinion.

“We cannot let Republicans waste our national treasure on a mission of chaos and corruption while turning a blind eye to the needs of the American people,” he added.
