Trump Shares Graphic Video of Woman's Murder on Truth Social

Apr 16 2026

Late last night, President Donald Trump uploaded an unedited video depicting a woman being brutally murdered with a hammer on his Truth Social account. The graphic content has sparked outrage and concern across social media platforms.

In a lengthy 335-word post, Trump expressed that he felt an “obligation” to share the footage, labeling it a “brutal slaying.” He further alleged that the perpetrator was an undocumented immigrant, a claim that aligns with his ongoing narrative regarding immigration reform.

This post followed closely after First Lady Melania Trump delivered an unscripted speech addressing Jeffrey Epstein, and amid Trump's criticisms of former allies in the media. The timing of these events has raised eyebrows among political analysts.

The disturbing video shows Rolbert Joachin, identified by the Department of Homeland Security, repeatedly striking a vehicle outside a gas station in Fort Myers, Florida. When a woman exits the store and confronts him, Joachin diverts his focus and approaches her aggressively.

As he nears, Joachin can be heard shouting something about “f***ing money” before he leaps and strikes her with the hammer. The footage captures him continuing to assault her after she collapses, leaving her motionless on the ground.

According to DHS reports, this incident occurred in early April. Joachin was apprehended following a collaborative operation involving the Fort Myers Police Department and ICE. The DHS revealed that Joachin, originally from Haiti, entered the U.S. in 2022 and had been granted Temporary Protected Status, which is set to expire in 2024.

ICE has since placed a detainer on Joachin, ensuring his deportation regardless of the investigation's outcome. Trump condemned Joachin as an “animal” and criticized the Temporary Protected Status program as “massively abused and fraudulent.”

He argued that such violent incidents should prompt action against “Radical Judges” who hinder his immigration policies. “If you import the Third World, you become the Third World,” he stated, attributing the current situation to four years of Democratic governance.

During a pretrial hearing, Fort Myers Police Detective Laynor Rodriguez testified that Joachin confessed to the murder. Rodriguez noted that Joachin wore the same clothing during the attack as he had in a previous encounter with the victim, Nilufa Easmin, also known as Yasmin, who worked at the gas station.

Rodriguez accused Joachin of deliberately damaging Easmin’s car to lure her outside. The local community is mourning her loss; M.D. Islam, a resident, expressed collective grief: “Everybody is sad. It’s not just me; it’s my Bangladeshi community.”

Easmin was originally from Bangladesh. In response to her tragic death, the Bangladesh Association of Southwest Florida initiated a GoFundMe campaign to support her two daughters. The campaign page poignantly states, “Easmin was a devoted mother who worked tirelessly to provide for her two young daughters. The loss of Easmin has created an unimaginable void in their lives.”
