Trump Slams FBI for Investigating "Conspiracy Theories" Surrounding Lindsey Graham's Death
President Trump blasted the FBI, claiming they are "wasting their time" if they are probing "conspiracy theories" regarding Senator Lindsey Graham's death. This statement comes as speculation swirls around the circumstances of Graham's passing at age 71 over the weekend, which Trump attributes solely to health issues.
During a press interaction in the Oval Office, Trump responded to inquiries about the FBI's involvement. FBI Director Kash Patel confirmed that the bureau was "assisting local authorities" in the investigation.
"Well, I don't know why, because I think, you know, he had a problem," Trump stated, referencing Graham's health history. Graham's father succumbed to a heart attack at 69, highlighting a familial pattern of heart-related issues.
The preliminary findings from the medical examiner revealed that Graham's death resulted from an aortic dissection, a serious condition involving a tear in the aorta's wall.
"I wish he took better care of himself," Trump remarked, noting that Graham's condition was "very hard to detect."
At 80 years old, Trump mentioned that White House doctors briefed him on the likely medical circumstances surrounding Graham's demise.
Sources close to Graham indicated he had experienced chest pains shortly before his death, raising alarms about his health.
Graham had recently returned from Ukraine, where his staunch positions against Russia and Iran fueled online speculation about potential foreign involvement in his death. Trump quickly dismissed these theories.
"So I don't see a lot of evil there," he asserted. "I know there's all sorts of conspiracy theories going along. And I don't think the FBI — I think the FBI's wasting their time if they're doing that."
